Emily moved from her hometown of Lansing, Michigan to the “Land of Enchantment” in 2002. She graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Arts (English) degree from the University of New Mexico before pursuing her Master of Science (Speech-Language Pathology) degree from UNM.
She has previously enjoyed working with adults in an acute care hospital setting, an outpatient rehabilitation clinic, and the university clinic. Additionally, she has worked with children in a pediatrics outpatient clinic, the university clinic, and local public schools. She has volunteered numerous places in the community including: Camp Rising Sun, the Albuquerque Reads program, and the Special Olympics. She is passionate about helping all members of the community achieve their communication and swallowing goals.
When she’s not working, Emily enjoys hiking, camping, paddle boarding, fishing, and golfing. She also loves music and books.
