More Severe Levels Of Hearing Loss

Studies have shown that children with various degrees of hearing loss perform below their average grade level as compared to their peers. In addition, children with more severe levels of hearing loss may not be able to achieve skills that go beyond a fourth-grade education level. Early intervention and adequate treatment can prevent many of these situations from developing. The level of support that children receive and the amount of parental involvement that children experience can greatly improve the chances of a child developing more normally over time.
