Here at the Albuquerque Speech Language Hearing Center(ASLHC), we take a patient focused approach to everything we do. The bottom line is; we want to do everything we can to help improve the lives of the patients who come in to us. We will always greet you with a smile and treat you with immense care and respect.

That being said, we know that coming in for the first time can be a bit of a nerve wracking experience. We want everyone to feel comfortable and at easy when they first step through our doors. For that reason, we would like to take a moment today to talk about what you can expect during your appointment at ASLHC.

Your expectations will be a little different depending on if you are coming in for speech and language evaluation, or an audiology evaluation.

  1. Arrival

We ask that you arrive about 15 minutes before your schedule appointment. This is to give us plenty of time to take care of your paperwork and to answer and questions you may have. Remember to bring your insurance cards and any doctor’s referrals. You can downloads the forms ahead of time by clicking HERE for adults and HERE for children.

Just sign in at the front desk, and we will help you out with anything you need. Then, before you know it, it will be time for your appointment!

As a final note before we begin discussing the next step in your visit, we are listed as in-network providers for most insurance companies, we also accept Medicare and Medicaid, as well as the Division for Vocational Rehabilitation.

To learn more about the next steps in your appointment, check back soon for part two of this blog which will be posted later this month!
